Contact Management Tool Enhancements

This project involved adding additional functionality to an existing Ruby on Rails contact management web application.

The purpose of the eContactShare web application is to allow users to create and manage groups of contacts from various different sources.

My involvement was focused mainly within the view and controller layers of the framework, working with the back-end development team to implement their enhancements, while also helping to determine the best user experience for the new features. The enhancements were implemented using HTML, CSS, Javascript (jQuery), Twitter Bootstrap, and Ruby on Rails.

This project involved the creation of a new WordPress based website for a contact management tool.

The purpose of the new website was to act as the marketing website for the eContactShare web application and mobile apps, including information about the application and links to sign up, as well as providing a way to contact the application developers.

The website design was based on a premium WordPress theme. Development consisted of the setup of the purchased theme, and the addition of the marketing content.

Unfortunately the website has since been replaced by a different WordPress based site, utilizing a different theme, which can be seen after clicking on the provided link.

Gabriele Law Firm Website

This project involved the creation of a new WordPress based website for a law firm.

The purpose of the new website was to act as the main website for the law firm, including information and advice on all the areas of law in which the firm specializes, as well as providing various ways to contact the members of the firm.

The website design was based on a premium WordPress theme, with a few custom modifications. I was not the primary developer for this project. My involvement was to take over development near the end of the project to fix issues and apply further customizations for website. The fixes and modifications to the site were made using HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery), and PHP, as well as utilizing additional WordPress plugins as necessary.

Classroom Observation Tool Website

This project involved the creation of a new WordPress based website for a classroom observation web application.

The purpose of the new website was to act as the marketing website for the iCOR observation tool, including information about the application and providing various ways to contact and connect with the iCOR community.

The website design was based on a premium WordPress theme. Development consisted of the setup of the purchased theme, and the addition of content from an existing, old website.

Telecom Phone Service Desktop Application Reskin

This project involved applying a new design and adding new features to an existing Adobe Air desktop application.

My involvement in this particular project was to act as lead developer, in that I oversaw and assisted other developers working on the project, while also contributing my own code. The main portion of the work involved designing and applying a style guideline, using CSS and HTML, to match the look and feel of the application with provided style documents (designed by another company). The work also required development and implementation of additional features, using HTML and JavaScript (mainly using the jQuery library), which were included in the new design, but were not part of the existing application.

Background Screening Web Applications

This project involved maintaining and improving several CakePHP web applications.

The applications allow companies to provide a portal for posting job descriptions, allowing individuals to apply to those postings, as well as submitting information for background screenings. The applications are written with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, and using the MVC (model-view-control) framework, CakePHP. User information is then stored and accessed in a central database, using a RESTful interface.

My work on this project was focused mainly on ticket driven (using the Unfuddle ticketing system) issue fixes and requested improvements to the front end (view layer) of the applications. Fixes and upgrades were made using mainly HTML, CSS, and PHP.

Hospital Mobile Website

This project involved the creation of a new WordPress based mobile website for a hospital system.

The purpose of the new website was to act as a simplified website to deliver the most important information about the hospital system on a mobile device. The mobile website also provided new functionality in the form of a prescription refill form.

The mobile site design was based on a premium WordPress theme, with a few custom modifications made to the design by an outside design consultant. Development started with the purchased theme, adding in the designed changes as necessary. The modifications to the theme were made using HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery), and PHP, as well as utilizing additional WordPress plugins as necessary.

Classroom Assessment Web Application

This project involved converting an existing classroom assessment web application from Grails to Ruby on Rails.

The purpose of the web application was to allow teachers and other school administrators to track classroom performance in an easy to use format, accessible to any device that has internet access, but designed specifically with use on iPads in mind.

My involvement was focused mainly within the view and controller layers of the frameworks, converting the older Grails documents to use Ruby on Rails. Changes to the existing documents were made using HTML, CSS, Javascript (jQuery), and Ruby on Rails.

The web application is proprietary (owned by Mersoft) and its use is licensed to different school districts. The link below will give additional information about the product, however, access to the actual application is restricted to licensed users only.

Mosquitno Website

This project involved the creation of a new WordPress based website and applying a new design to an existing shopping cart website for a company that manufactures mosquito repellant products.

The purpose of the new website was to act as a marketing site for the companies products. The re-skinning of the existing e-commerce website was to make the design match that of the new marketing website.

The marketing site design was based on a premium WordPress theme, with a few modifications. The redesign of the nsCommerceSpace (Network Solutions) based e-commerce site was accomplished using HTML, CSS, and a proprietary scripting language used by nsCommerceSpace, nsScript, to match the look of the marketing website.

The websites have since been updated and these versions of the sites are no longer accessible.

Sign Company Website

This project involved creating a simple WordPress based microsite to showcase image galleries for a signage company.

The purpose of the website was to allow the signage company to easily add and update galleries for recently completed sign projects.

My involvement included implementing and laying out the image galleries for the microsite. The galleries were implemented using a WordPress plugin, with some modifications (using PHP and Javascript) to match the output with the desired look and functionality. They were laid out using HTML and CSS.
